Early Years Free Entitlement
At start of the term following your child's third birthday, your child is entitled to free nursery education, otherwise known as Early Years Free Entitlement.
Currently, the free entitlement is for 15 hours each per week for a maximum of 38 weeks a year. Every effort will be made to offer the maximum 38 weeks, but this cannot always be guaranteed. Hours in excess of 15 per week will be charged to you accordingly. You will be given a letter advising you of the amount due at the beginning of each term and for children eligible for funding, parents will be asked to complete a Parental Declaration each term and to provide a copy of the child's birth certificate when claiming for the first time
No further payment is required unless
Unless the pre- school arranges outings and trips.
A child attends more than 5 sessions per week with two or more providers of Pre-school education. In this instance, the providers only receive a share of the funding and therefore parents are required to make up the shortfall to the appropriate fee.
A parent chooses not to take up the funding in which case the session fee is £8.25.
Fees can be paid weekly, half termly at the beginning of each half term, or termly within the first two weeks of term. We do ask for prompt payment, but please talk to us if there are any difficulties.
Please place cash or cheque (payable to Yaxley & Mellis Pre-school) into a sealed envelope with your child's name on the front. Please place in the ‘attention box’.
Unfortunately, we do have to charge for sessions missed due to illness or holiday.
If your child has to be absent over a long period of time, please talk to the Leader or a member of the committee.
Action to reclaim non-payment of fees will be pursued where necessary.
Notice period
Should you wish to withdraw your child from pre-school, payment is still required in full for the half term in which notice is given.
